Why We Need To Stay Connected To God.

I got this message from watching Micheal Todd and I wanted to share it because it's important for us to know why we need God. By the way, if you don't know who Micheal Todd is, he is a great man of God, who has some really good messages, check him out on YouTube.

So let's get into it, I want you to think of your phone as us or (yourself). The phone has a lot of new apps that we could use on a regular basis. We use our phones for emergencies, banking, games, communicating, etc, but what good is our phone if it's low on power or has no power? When this happens, we need a power cord for the phone in order to recharge it. So think of the power cord as (prayer, praise, worship, and Holy Spirit) and the power itself, as God.

Many times, while people are using their phones, they don't realize that their phone has dropped to a charge of 20%, until it goes dead. They same way that we have become so dependent on our phones; and a dead phone is unimaginable, people have gained so much, and believe that it was themselves alone, who did it all, and they give God no credit. Well, that is the attitude until they hit rock bottom (drained battery, dead phone) and have to call on God.

When you are charging your dead phone, you are unable to use it right away, until you get a small percent of charge on the phone, and only then will it come back on. Eventually, If you keep the phone plugged in long enough, you will be at 100% charge and you can then use the full potential of the phone.

It's the same way with us, when we fall away from God or operate on our own, we start patching things (human effort) as they begin to come unhinged. After our patch work stops holding, and things spiral out of control, you are now at a point in your life, when call on God in desperation. How many times have you been in a situation or watched someone on T.V. mess up, and then tell God, "if you can just get me out of this one."

Trust in the fact that God wants to get you out of your situation, but I need to share with you that there are times when we pray and do not get what we prayed for right away. Just like the phone that has to stay plugged up long enough to get fully charged, sometimes we have to wait as well. While we are waiting for our prayers to be manifested, stay in faith while God orchestrates circumstances on your behalf. There may be people, environments, or things that God has to move around in order to answer your prayer, don't give up!

John 10:10 (NKJV) - The thief (satan) comes only to steal and kill and destroy; (to pull your love and attention away from God), I have come that they may have life and have it abundantly.

God came for us to live charged up, not just to exist! Many people have access to the power of God, but they are not plugged into it, for example, going to church is not going to help you get plugged into God, but it is what you do after church everyday that will bring you closer to God. It's being a doer of the Word of God. We must stay connected to our source Almighty God:

Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) - ...and without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.

Proverbs 3:6 (NKJV) - In all your ways submit to Him and He will make your paths straight.

This is why we have to stay connected, and also, so that satan is not able to use fear, doubt or lust against us.

James 4:7 (NKJV) - Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Now that we are connected, and we have the power of God, (God being the source), there is nothing that we can't accomplish or overcome:

Philippians 4:13 (NKJV - I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

So if you want a better life, all you have to do is stay connected, plugged into God, for He will make all your ways straight, for He is God, and God does not lie!
