ABOUT THE AUTHOR,  Alva was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, until she relocated to Virginia with her children.  She is married to Mr. LeShay Williams and they have five children and a granddaughter.  Alva holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, and she is the author of the book, "A Collection of Inspired Poems," which was published in 2015.  She is currently working on a new book, which she plans to have available as soon as time allows.  Alva has enjoyed writing since she was in high school, where she fell in love with the art of poetry.  

 

Alva has spoken publicly as a licensed minister; as a leader in small bible study groups; through business presentations; by reciting her poetry at church events; and social support functions.  She has also recited her poetry for groups at nursing homes, and women shelters.

For fun, Alva enjoys going on roller coaster rides, watching movies and television shows, relaxing at the beach, or reading a good book, but her first joy and greatest love will always be Jesus, the resurrected son of God.
