Something To Think About

We are made up of body, soul, and spirit. The soul and spirit will exist beyond the life span of the physical body (beyond when you die). Our lives may seem long, but to God our life time passes very quickly.

Genesis 2:7 (AMP): Then the Lord God formed a man (body) from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (spirit) and the man became a living being. (soul: being your emotions/thoughts).

Psalm 144:4 (AMP): Man is like a mere breath; his days are like a shadow that passes away.

As Christians we patiently await the return of Jesus, he left the earth as a humble Savior, a carpenter, our sacrificial lamb, but when He returns to the earth, it will be with all of His authority and power! Upon His return to earth, in what condition will He find your spirit.

Matthew 24:27-36 (AMP): For just as the lightning flashes from the east and shines and is seen as far as the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. Whenever there is a fallen body (a corpse), there the vultures (or eagles) will flock together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not shed its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn and beat their breasts and lament in anguish, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory [in brilliancy and splendor]. And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect (His chosen ones) from the four winds, [even] from one end of the universe to the other. From the fig tree learn this lesson: as soon as its young shoots become soft and tender and it puts out its leaves, you know of a surety that summer is near. So also when you see these signs, all taken together; coming to pass, you may know of a surety that He is near, at the very doors. Truly I tell you, this generation (the whole multitude of people living at the same time, in a definite, given period) will not pass away till all these things taken together take place. Sky and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away. But of that [exact] day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 (AMP): For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud cry of summons, with the shout of an archangel, and with the blast of the trumpet of God. And those who have departed this life in Christ will rise first. Then we, the living ones who remain (on the earth), shall simultaneously be caught up along with (the resurrected dead) in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so always (through the eternity of the eternities) we shall be with the Lord!

Satan knows that his end game is hell, so he wants to take as many people with him as he can.

John 10:10 (AMP): The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and kill, and to destroy.

Satan uses our time on earth to give people their fleshly desires, and we have to make a choice, satan's kingdom, or God's kingdom, whose side are you on? Satan has misled so many people into thinking that they can do whatever they want, but there is a price to pay and it will cost you here on earth, as well as after you pass away.

God on the other hand, loves you, and gives you the freedom to choose Him or reject Him. So with God, we make our own choices, as to whether we want to accept Jesus or reject Jesus. So remember, that we make the decision to accept Jesus or serve satan. God has no reason to lie to you, which is why He gives everyone freedom of choice. God is the true and only God of this world!

Numbers 23:19 (AMP): God is not a man, that He should tell or act a lie, neither the son of man, that He should feel repentance or compunction [for what He has promised]. Has He said and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not make it good?

We will never know a greater love than God's love, for even when we are at our worst or lowest point in life, He still loves us, just as He loved those that beat Him and put Him (Jesus) on the cross. If you have not seen the movie, "The Passion of Christ," directed by Mel Gibson; watch it and see the reenactment of what Jesus suffered for us!

Luke 23:34 (AMP): And Jesus prayed, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." And they divided His garments and distributed them by casting lots for them.

I hope this message will help you to choose between God or Satan. How will you feel at the end of your life time, in the blink of an eye, no longer in your body, but now standing before the throne of Jesus, whom you rejected during your time on earth, what will you say? I hope this gives you something to think about!
