Did You Learn To Love

1 Corinthians 13:2 (AMP): And if I have prophetic powers (the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), and understand all the secret truths and mysteries and possess all knowledge, and if I have [sufficient] faith so that I can remove mountains, but have not love (God's love in me) I am nothing (a useless nobody).

When I read this I was like, "wow," love is the most important thing to God. Then I read the following:

1 Corinthians 13:4-5 (AMP): love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on it's own rights or its own way, for it is not self seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].

So many things went through my mind on love, which also reminded me of Sid Roth's television program called, "It's Supernatural," where this lady was talking about her husband, who had passed on to be with the Lord, but when he was still in the earth, he had a near death experience. She shared the following story of her husband's experience. "....there was a bright light in a tunnel, and at the end was a man in all white with a bright glow, which I'm guessing was Jesus. Across to his left was another tunnel, which was dark. In the first tunnel, which he was in, the people in line before him all stood before Jesus, one by one, and they were asked the same single question, "did you learn to love?" When it was his turn he said, "yes I did." Jesus then told him that it was not his time, and that satan had tried to take his life prematurely, but Jesus wanted him to stay in the earth, but he did not want to stay, he wanted to be with Jesus.

Jesus then told him to look over into the other tunnel, which was the tunnel for those who had not accepted Jesus. In that tunnel, there were people with the thing that they had made their God (idol) during their lifetime on earth, hanging around their neck (i.e. beer bottles, drugs, money, etc). The people in the tunnel headed for hell could see the tunnel that Jesus was in, and now they believed that He was real. While he was looking at all the people in that tunnel, Jesus said to him, "If you really want to stay, I will let you,"but after seeing so many lost people, he knew that he had to go back.

The other shocking thing about the recalling of this man's interaction with Jesus, is when each person was asked the question, "did you learn to love," the answer came from each person's heart, so it was impossible to lie to about it. The truth that was in each person's heart came out of their mouth, instead of a lie or half truth. Some of you may not believe in supernatural or spiritual things, but they are real!

1 Corinthians 15:44 (AMP): It is sown a natural (physical) body; it is raised a supernatural (a spiritual) body, [as surely as] there is a physical body, there is also a spiritual body.

Ephesians 6:12 (AMP): For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending with physical opponents], but against the despotism, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.

John 20:29 (NKJV): Jesus said to him, "Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

Jeremiah 33:3 (NKJV): Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.

2 Corinthians 4:18 (NKJV): while we do not look at the things which are seen but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

People pass away from this life here on earth, everyday, and for those people, if they did not get ready while they were on earth, there are no more chances for them to be saved from eternity in hell with satan. (no one can go on a trip without packing, or preparing for that trip in advanced. Especially if it is going to be a lengthy trip).

Our time here on earth is meant to be enjoyed, but it is a short time, compared to the eternity that we will enter into when we die. Your spirit will live on forever and ever, we are like God, eternal beings, living in a perishing/perishable body. Your reality does not end when you die.

What I am trying to get you to see, is that God has given everyone grace to learn to love. In God's eyes, out of everything that He has given us to enjoy, out of every resource that He has given us to develop, out of all the abilities and gifts that He has given to us individually, the greatest out of everything is love. All things hang on love. Learning to love, and accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the Son of God is all in preparation for your spirit to enter into eternity.

1 Corinthians 13:13 (AMP): And so faith, hope, love abide [faith-conviction and belief respecting man's relation to God and divine things; hope-joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation; love-true affection for God and man, growing out of God's love for and in us], these three; but the greatest of these is love.

When we read 1 Corinthians 13:2 and 13:4-5, we see that as we live our lives, that love is something that everyone deals with, and that love is not an easy thing to always operate in. Yet, when I think about the day when I am finally in front of Jesus, I want to know that I can say, "yes, I have learned to love." Remember that we will not be able to speak to Jesus from our cleaver minds, but only what is truly in our hearts.

Luke 6:45 (NKJV): "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
